Grants

Three to four times a year, LIN Center for Community Development calls for grant proposals from our NPO partners. The Fund Allocation Committee meets together to review the proposals and allocate available funds to organizations that meet our grant criteria and funding priorities.

 Past Grant Rounds

  • December 2012 Grant Round Awardee
    • Deaf Community Association of HCMC received VND 139,500,000 to promote education and supports to prevent domestic violence among 105 (one hundred and five)  deaf women living in disadvantaged situation
    • Tinh Than network (Chi 2 project) received VND 100,000,000 to carry out micro credit project for 100 (one hundred) poor women living in slum areas in Binh Thanh District, District 8 and Go Vap district, HCMC.
    • Khanh Hoi Orphanage received VND 50,000,000 to carry out life skills training for 80 (eighty) children and 20 (twenty) parents.

  • April 2012 Grant Round Awardees
    • 5gio sang received VND 30,000,000 to organize HOPE CUP, football tournament for disadvantaged children living in shelters in and around HCMC.
    • A New Day received VND 27,219,500 to carry out communication program on social knowledge for migrant workers.
    • SIFE Finance Trade University received VND 12,224,100 to carry out Living Green project to raise awareness on environment for junior highschool students and their parents.
  • December 2011 Grant Round Awardees
    • SPI House/HCMC Child Welfare Foundation received VND 80,000,000 to carry out vocational training for migrant teenagers and youth with the risks of sexual abuse and labor exloitation.
    • Thien Tam Vocational Shelter received VND 40,000,000 to carry out vocational training and job creation for 30 migrant disability children to strengthen their quality of life.
  • October 2011 Grant Round Awardees
    • Action for Willife Volunteer Group (AWVC) received VND 26,965,000 to carry out "Green Living" handbook for helping highschool and college disadvanatged students and community people in promoting knowledge on energy saving and environment protection.
    • Thien An Shelter (MATA) received VND 27,000,000 to organize "White Cane" event on Oct 15, 2011 to raise awarennes on supporting people living with blindness in public areas.
    • Wildlife At Risk (WAR) received VND 16,700,000 to organize project on releasing native fish to Saigon River.
  • April 2011 Grant Round Awardees
    • Bung Sang Shelter received VND 12,400,000 to support 6 scholarships for disability students to continue learning in College and University.
    • IFP Alumni in HCMC received VND 27,000,000 to conduct TOT training on Orientation and Mobility for visual impaired students/ teachers in HCMC and Southern provinces.
    • Khanh Hoi Orphanage received VND 7,250,000 to make their brochure for fundraising and introduction of their organization.
    • SIFE Economic University HCMC received VND 15,705,000 to carry out the Green Recycle project for disadvanataged children in HCMC.
  • December 2010 Grant Round Awardees
    • Huynh Tan Phat Scholarship Foundation received VND 27,000,000 to support 30 scholarships for architect student of Van Lang University, HCMC Architecture University and Binh Duong University. The total amount of 30 scholarships are VND 90,000,000 which is collaborated between LIN Center, Huynh Tan Phat family, Phat Quang charity association and Mr. Nguyen Van Hung.
  • September 2010 Grant Round Awardees:
    • Cau Ong Lanh Women Union received VND 27,000,000 to support 30 scholarships for the disadvataged children living in Cau Ong Lanh ward, district 1, HCMC.
    • Cau Han Social Center (HCMC Child Welfare Foundation) received VND 26,840,000 to support scholarships for 15 childrens living in poor communities, to cover the cost of entertainment for children in the center and to cover the cost of learning arts and music for children.
    • SIFE Economic University of HCMC received VND 10,705,000 to carry out Greenagers project to educate power saving and environment for elementary students in HCMC.
    • 5 AM Group received VND 10,000,000 to organize the HOPE CUP football league for disadvanated children living in shelters playing with children studying in International School.
    • Women Charity Association (WOCA) received VND 27,000,000 to support 36 scholarship for disadvantaged children living in suburb district of HCMC.
  • April 2010 Grant Round Awardees
    • Binh Loi received VND 29,465,000 to cover part of the costs build a roof over their yard, which is where the disadvantaged youth play before and after class. The total amount is contributed by Pi-Channel (VND 12,465,000 VND) in their fundraising program of selling the "li xi" envelop on the Tet holiday.
    • Blue Dreams received VND 25,000,000 to support 50 scholarships for the children living with disability in the anually event, namely "Light and Hope".
    • Te Phan Family received VND 18,987,000 to cover the cost of health insurance and cost of treatment for 37 disability children living in the family.
  • December 2009 Grant Round Awardees
    • Khanh Hoi Orphan Support Centre received VND 19,200,000 VND to sponsor the studies of 4 students, age 13 to 17, who are affected by HIV/AIDS.
    • Ms Do's class received VND 1,822,000VND to support books and equipments for students.
    • Binh Loi 's request is pending to cover part of the costs to build a roof over their yard, which is where the disadvantaged youth play before and after class
  • August 2009 Grant Round Awardees
    • Future Project (Du an Tuong Lai) received VND 18,900,000 to keep thirty students/clients of Future Project in school (VND 630,000 per student for the 2009-2010 academic school year)
    • Phuoc Lam Health Volunteer Group received VND 27,000,000, the majority of which will go towards their micro-credit fund to mothers in Long An. The remaining two million VND will go towards making uniforms for their Volunteer team.
    • Saigon Young People in Development received VND 26,476,000 to support Saigon YPDs effort to organize an International YPD conference in HCMC.

Process of applying for a grant

  1. In order to request a grant from LIN, NPOs must first complete the NPO Partner Application
  2. Sign and return the application to LIN at: NPO@LINvn.org.
  3. Complete the Grant Application form and return it with or after submission of the NPO Partner Application.
